Keynote Session: How the Lingering Crises Are Amplifying the Benefits of Wide-Format Printing

With on-going supply chain challenges, including substrate procurement, wide-format inkjet printing technology is becoming ever more timely and important for the signage industry. Not only are brands faced with their own supply chain problems and won’t know what they’ll be able to promote and sell any given week, with the rising cost of substrates and limited availability, no one can afford any waste. This means that more and more orders will be last minute, in smaller quantities, but with higher order frequency and greater turnaround pressures. All of this points in favor of wide-format inkjet printing. This higher job frequency, in turn, will push the requirement for more automation, as there isn’t sufficient labor (and room for higher wages) to manage the higher job frequencies manually.

A panel of leading printing executives, led by NAPCO editorial director Denise M. Gustavson (with a little help from our Wide-Format Summit keynote sponsors), will discuss how the KPIs of succeeding in the wide-format industry have changed and the specific steps that these companies are taking today to prepare for whatever lies ahead.

General Session Panel: Going Beyond Print

Is it time for a make-over? Now, we’re not talking about the look and feel of your business, but rather the services and applications you offer your customers. Research has shown that print buyers are looking for partners, not order takers. So how can you redefine your business and offer services beyond the traditional print applications that are at the core of our companies? During this session, we’ll talk to several business owners who have taken the next step to make themselves indispensable to their clients.
